The sandalwood stick can produce a large quantity of sandalwood paste and so should last a long time. Sprinkle a little water on a grinding stone and rub the sandalwood against the stone in a firm circular, repetitive motion. Add a little camphor to add more soothing fragrance. If you use a teaspoon of sandalwood paste every day and a little more on special occasions, the sandalwood stick should last for years.
