This string of beads is used for japa, or mantra meditation, and consists of 108 beads plus one head bead. They are made of neem wood and are recommended for beginning or young practitioners. Smooth beads with natural off-white color.

Traditionally, they are kept and used in a bead bag. These beads are about 27" long (or about 54" around). Exact length varies 3-5" because of bead size. The beads are up to .5" in diameter each.
