Chaddars

Traditional cloth worn as a shawl, scarf or head covering by both women and men, especially during worship ceremonies. Most of the chaddars we sell at Krishna.com are imprinted with the holy names of Radha-Krishna ("Harinama" in Sanskrit) in the form of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra, along with Krishna's footprints, sacred cows, and line drawings depicting Radha-Krishna. Devotees use these "Harinama" chaddars as sacred cloth to decorate their altars, place beneath their deities while dressing or decorating them, or to wear as an auspicious garment to remind them of Krishna in their daily lives.
