Devotees of Lord Krishna traditionally wear beads made of Tulasi around their neck. Tulasi beads are said to protect one from bad dreams, accidents, attacks by weapons, and inauspicious destinations at death. For these reasons and because she is dear to Krishna, devotees always wear Tulasi.
Tulasi beads, with their natural wood tone, are interspersed with sets of five pearls, creating a charming pattern. At the center, a string of pearl beads is tied in a simple knot, creating a unique alternative to a pendant.
Pearl is the birthstone for the month of June and is also the birthstone for the sun signs of Gemini and Cancer.
These Tulasi beads are strong on tough nylon monofilament, with an S-clasp. Approximately 17", fits one time around most necks. Made in India.
